Servilles And Wella Merge Creative And Educational Forces In A New Partnership!

This September marks the beginning of a new era for internationally renowned Auckland-based Servilles Group as they partner with industry-leading brand Wella. More than just a product partner, the complete collaboration will include Wella working creatively with Servilles’ award-winning team, as well as partnering with the Servilles Business Programme to bring the best in salon business training to clients globally.

Servilles and Wella will now be bringing their world class training to the hairdressers of tomorrow with a brand new colour education programme at Servilles Academy, recognized as Australasia’s leading educational organization.

Wella - the Salon Professional Division of Procter & Gamble, includes brands Wella Professionals, Illumina Color, Sebastian Professional, and NIOXIN. Servilles CEO Jackie Allum says the two brands are aligned in both culture and values, and by partnering together plan to produce a collaboration of innovative creative and business opportunities;

"As a company, Servilles is about innovation and growth, it’s in our DNA, we’re always looking for new opportunities. Our vision is to have our education product in 15 countries by the year 2020. To achieve this we recognise that we need a strong partner who shares our passion for the hair industry and is aligned to the value we place on learning and education”.

"Wella has demonstrated to us a real commitment to these core values. We’ve already experienced the quality of their people and their brand and we are looking forward to further collaborating with  them both in New Zealand and Internationally,” Allum says.

David Dias, Wella ANZ Country Leader, says he is thrilled that Servilles has chosen Wella as their new business and creative partner. "We see many opportunities to jointly work together to help grow our salon partners creatively and through sound business training. The Servilles Academy also represents an opportunity for Wella and Servilles to bring the very best training and education to hundreds of students every year.

"Wella is committed to the development of the future of our industry and will be rolling out new initiatives with our Academy and School partners. We look forward to bringing our innovative Illumina Color to Servilles clients as well as our Sebastian Professional and Nioxin products and services,” Dias finishes.

The new partnership was celebrated on Monday night with a live photoshoot with world-renowned photographer Andrew O’Toole in a collaboration with Servilles’ creative team - Steve Cockle, Ivan Lee & Hayden Bloomfield - and Wella’s top creative artists from Australia - 2013 Australian Hairdresser of the Year Frank Apostolopoulos and 2012 Australian Hairdresser of the Year Joey Scandizzo. The collaboration ‘Deadly Sins’ depicted three of the deadly sins Envy, Lust and Wrath in a complete creative interpretation from the hair, to the make-up, to the styling.

"Right now, the people that we’re loving creatively just so happen to be connected with Wella so we decided to become a part of that creative force. To bring this to life, we wanted to kick things off with a bang and hold a combined creative event to celebrate this new collaboration”, says Paul Serville, Owner & Director of Servilles.

"Each year we collaborate with the top creative talent from around the world to keep our teams’ creative juices flowing. We like to keep our stylists continually inspired to keep their clients excited about the journey they’re having in the salon that they’ve chosen,” Serville said.

The multi-faceted Wella and Servilles partnership will not only continue to develop both brands as industry leaders, but demonstrate their commitment to innovation, education and growth of the hairdressing industry.
