Asia Pacific Screen Awards
LA BIOSTHETIQUE was the official hair sponsor of the Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA) which took place at Brisbane City Hall on December 11th. Hair director, Todd Arndt, and his team from Vogue Nationale, a LA BIOSTHETIQUE concept salon, worked backstage to style the hair of presenters and actors before they hit the red carpet. Make up was directed by Rachel Espley of Therapy Hair and Beauty.
The eighth annual Asia Pacific Screen Awards are the region’s highest accolade in film and part of the Brisbane Asia Pacific Film Festival. The ceremony was hosted by Ms Lei Chen and Mr Aaron Pederson and broadcasted to 44 countries reaching about 23 million people. The Asia Pacific is the world’s fastest-growing film region and the APSAs have developed a prestigious reputation across this region in just seven years while adding international substance to Australia’s event calendar. ASPA continues to develop into an integral player in world cinema and is the only UNESCO endorsed film awards globally.
While providing Brisbane with business opportunities, APSA also aims at fostering cultural relationships with Australia’s neighbours. "As an international brand it is a pleasure to sponsor this event, which is not only the biggest international film festival in Asia Pacific but which also promotes the diversity of cultural expression and strengthens cultural relationships.” says Karen Aubin, LA BIOSTHETIQUE marketing manager.
